As of 11/28/17 I have taught the Fundamentals class to approximately 1,200 students.  Often these classes are taught by an intern or someone that is not an experienced photographer or teacher.  The Fundamentals class is the most important class a student can take because they are the foundation for everything that comes after.
These sessions began with small classes, less than 20 students, which were
taught throughout the bay area. I kept hearing that they had taken a similar classes and still didn't get it.   Things started to work for the student when we scheduled a private class on their camera.  It is with at I will no longer teach the group classes which are a waste of the students time and money regardless of who is "teaching" them or how much they cost.

All of the Beginning / Fundamentals classes are private, arranged to work with the student's schedule and designed specifically for how each student learns.  The private classes are far more effective because questions can be answered throughly  and the skills learned "stick" when the student applies what is covered in the classes to real world situations.
The first and/or second classes are held in the student's home where we cover how to operate the camera and the basics of digital photography.  After the student has a good grasp of how to operate the camera, we go to different locations and introduce more variables which broadens the creative possibilities and how to deal with real life challenges. These classes go from teaching the student to take good pictures to creating great photographs.

Through December 2017 the private seven hour class is discounted $100.00.  The normal $650.00 fee is now $550.00.
